FEET.

Do you remember the feeling of having a cast cut off after it has been on you for weeks!

You feel all weak and floppy, this is because your muscles begin to shrink and shrivel and you start to lose your strength and functionality.
This is all because of something called muscular atrophy and it basically means if we don’t use our muscles they waste away! Well, wearing shoes all day every day is similar to having your foot in a cast.
Your movement and muscle use become limited and your feet experience a form of atrophy. Feet are loaded with tiny muscles, tendons and a natural arch that acts like a spring when we run. When they’re firing and functioning they quite literally put a spring in our step. So it is extremely important we look after them. Heres how you can do that: -Take off your shoes as much as possible!

Go outside and walk on the grass, let your muscles work, let your feet feel the ground. -Roll out your feet. You can get small self-massage balls from Kmart or even use a golf ball and roll it around the bottom of your foot for a few minutes each day.
-Move. Before your feet even hit the ground in the morning sit on the edge of your bed and roll them around in circles, scrunch your toes, get them ready and moving for the day ahead.
