Let's talk sugar!
Not the sugar that we know we are eating but the sugar you don't know your eating.
Cutting sugar out of your lifestyle would be one of the best decisions you could make to live a long and healthy life. I'm not saying that you should never eat your favourite chocolate ever again! But minimizing the amount you eat and how often you're eating it can improve your health dramatically.
Sugar is found in just about every processed food you will find in the supermarket, even if it isn't called sugar on the label I bet you will find it in there.
Here are just 32 examples (I think it is 32, I counted twice lol) of words that are legal to use instead of sugar: Agave nectar, Barley malt syrup, Beet sugar, Brown rice syrup, Cane crystals (or, even better, "cane juice crystals"), Coconut sugar or coconut palm sugar, Corn sweetener, Corn syrup or corn syrup solids, Dehydrated cane juice, Dextrin, Dextrose, Evaporated cane juice, Fructose, Fruit juice concentrate, Glucose, High-fructose corn syrup, Invert sugar, Lactose, Maltodextrin, Malt Syrup, Maltose, Maple syrup, Molasses, Palm sugar, Raw sugar, Rice syrup, Saccharose, Sorghum or sorghum syrup, Sucrose, Syrup, Treacle, Turbinado sugar, Xylose.
So be sure to keep an eye out when reading the nutrition labels of your "healthy" snacks!
Sugar can cause injuries. There are many different effects that sugar can have on your body; one increases the susceptibility to infection and can lead to chronic inflammation.
What this means; most people will have an intolerance to one of the sugars above, this combined with other bad foods will break down your gut wall (Leaky Gut). Once this happens, some foods will be leaked straight into your body, and this will cause inflammation in joints and other parts of your body.
Try this: Cut out all sugar for one month and see what happens to any long term injuries. Just one month without processed foods and treats ;-).
