Lao Tzu wrote this in 630 BC, That is a f.. long time ago. But I think it is more relevant now more than ever. In a time where we all judge ourselves on the way we look and live our lives compared to what we see on social media, this quote should be front and centre every time you swipe through Instagram.

We grow up believing what others let us, and we grow up in a world watching others lives through social media and believe that is how we should be living. We make significant life choices that have been influenced by these external ideas, views and images and don't take the time to question why we think the way we do and what effects it has on us.

When you take the time to think about what makes you do the things you do or make the decisions you make, you can filter out the ideas, perceptions or thoughts that hold you back and you can start filling your mind with the methodologies that could help you chase your dreams and become who you want to be... not a reflection of someone's else influences.

Anyway, in summary, you should think about what your goals are not just health and fitness wise, but for life. Take the time to think about what YOU want to become.
